An audible only or bells only system is exactly what it says. If the alarm system is activated the internal and external sounder which will alert both you and your neighbours that someone is trying to enter your premises.

 

Unfortunately we are in a society which sometimes ignore ringing bells and ringing bells will not always put off a burglar which is why you may which to have a system which is monitored by an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) who will contact the Police if they get a signal to say your alarm has activated.

 

Although an audible only system is not as secure as a monitored system it is still better to have an audible only system rather than no alarm at all.
